Applications will be accepted for the next 2 weeks to fill the vacant board of education district 5 position.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — County Executive Angela Alsobrooks seeks community applicants for the vacant board of education district 5 position after member Raaheela Ahmed resigned Feb. 19.

“I would like to thank Raaheela for her service to our PGCPS students and families since 2016,” Alsobrooks said. “We encourage residents of board district five who wish to serve our children and families on the school board to please send us your information so you can be considered.”

The person selected by Alsobrooks will serve out the remainder of Ahmed’s current term, which runs until December 2024. Those interested in being considered should submit a cover letter and resume to CountyExecutive@co.pg.md.us. The county executive will accept applications for the next two weeks.
