Weather Decision Made For Classes Tuesday: Prince George's County Public Schools
A storm rolling into Maryland Tuesday has prompted Prince George's County Public Schools officials to make a decision about classes.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — All Prince George's County Public Schools and offices will close two hours early Tuesday due to forecasted inclement weather.
Afterschool and evening activities have been canceled. Vendor-managed afterschool care will close at 4 p.m.
A strong storm will roll into Maryland Tuesday and has been forecast to dump more than 3 inches of rain falling in a six-hour period in the early evening. The downpours Tuesday evening will be blinding, with the potential for flash flooding, according to forecasts. Damaging 55 mph wind gusts also are in the forecast. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for parts of Maryland from 1 p.m. on Tuesday through 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

A coastal Maryland flood watch will be in effect through late Tuesday night. Residents should expect 2 to 3 feet of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas in southern Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties due to tidal flooding, the NWS said.
