Weather Message from PG County Schools

Public schools in Prince George’s County will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

School offices will also be closed, Prince George’s County Public Schools officials announced.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for Prince George’s County until 10 a.m. with up to 0.1-inch ice possible from freezing rain, according to the National Weather Service, which said slippery roads were in the forecast until temps rise to the lower 30s Tuesday morning.

The Maryland State Highway Administration advised there were isolated icy patches on roads, particularly on elevated surfaces, and state transportation officials recommended delaying travel plans.
