Juliet Agocha understands that reality in a deeply personal way. After experiencing homelessness in 2009, she gained a lasting perspective on resilience and rebuilding. That experience continues to shape how she leads today—steady, present, and focused on people first.

She is with families—showing up, listening, and staying engaged in the challenges they face every day. She also brings over 10 years of governance experience across healthcare, education, and community engagement. Alongside a PhD in Leadership.

Her work centers on being accessible and responsive to families, not distant from them. She has supported expanded autism and developmental resources so children with special needs can access help earlier and parents are not left navigating complex systems alone. Through her Policy Council service, she continues to ensure that family voices are part of the decisions that affect everyday life.

Juliet Agocha has stood up for educators at the Maryland State House in Annapolis, advocating for stronger support and better working conditions for teachers who carry so much of the system every day. On affordable housing, she has consistently emphasized that stability at home is the foundation for stability in every other part of life, while also raising concerns about the impact of rising costs and high taxes in conversations with state-level lawmakers.
