Life is wonderful. Life is great. Life is sometimes painful. On Sunday, June 8, 2014 my son called to tell me that one of his best friends, Ryan Hatton, was killed in a car accident. Life is sometimes painful. Ryan was filled with life and really pleasant to be around. He and my son spent countless nights and days at each other's house - even as they are (were) both finishing college.
So, how do you get pass the pain? How do you stop asking yourself questions that you may never get answers to? I don't have the answer(s). All I know is that I must "Keep Seeking God's Face". What does that mean? I will be seeking God's presence just like David did in Psalm 27:8, "When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.””

Today marks the 15th day of my 40-Day Surrender Fast. Now, I will add 'pain' to the list of things I am surrendering. God is a healer. Through the good times and painful times, God is still God. Like Psalm 34:1 says, "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth." I love You Jesus and I will continue to seek Your face.
Now that's a word!
