Women Face Charges After Stealing Kia, Having Gun: Prince George's Police
Two women face charges after Prince George's Police say they stole a Kia. One woman had a gun in her purse, according to police.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Two women have been charged in connection with the theft of a Kia. Both also face a weapon-related charge.
On Jan. 26 at approximately 2 p.m., Prince George's police detectives saw 32-year-old Krystal Henry of Washington, D.C., and 33-year-old Crystal Smith of Capitol Heights in a Kia that had been reported stolen. Detectives stopped the vehicle in the 4800 block of Marlboro Pike in Capitol Heights. It had been reported stolen Jan. 1 from the 5900 block of Marlboro Pike. Detectives found a loaded weapon with the serial number removed in Smith's purse, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.
Both suspects face multiple charges to include theft, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and a handgun-related charge.

"In order to help prevent auto theft, we encourage residents to consider purchasing a brake pedal club, alarm or other theft prevention device," the police department noted.
