April is National Stress Awareness Month and Monday, April 16th has been designated as National Stress Awareness Day. Chronic stress is believed to be at the root of up to 75%-90% of all illness. Stress can be helpful in the short-term, but when it becomes chronic and continues without relief it can wreak havoc on your body and immune system. Therefore, reducing stress is an important key to living a healthier and happier life.
The first step in learning to manage stress is acknowledging that you are stressed and making the conscious decision to do something about it.
