Graul's Market Selects Hospice of the Chesapeake as Charity Day Beneficiary

Graul's Gives Back Day was April 28 in Annapolis and Cape St. Claire.

Hospice of the Chesapeake is excited and honored to be the charity selected by Graul’s Market for its annual Graul’s Gives Back Day on April 28 at its Annapolis and Cape St. Claire stores.

Graul’s will donate to the nonprofit 5 percent of each store’s sales made on that Thursday. In addition, the grocery retailer has rallied its vendors to participate, encouraging them to donate goods for raffles and as sales incentives or to make donations directly Hospice of the Chesapeake.

The community can take part by shopping at either location that day and participating in a variety of raffles to win Graul’s gift cards and many other prizes, including the grand prize of a big screen TV. The festive event will include face-painting and many exclusive one-day only specials. Representatives from Hospice of the Chesapeake will be at both sites to share the many ways it serves those who are experiencing advanced or complex illness or grieving from loss.

“The Graul family has for many years been a strong advocate and supporter of Hospice of the Chesapeake, regularly donating gift certificates, food and catering services and giving generously to our annual fund and capital campaigns,” said President and CEO Ben Marcantonio. “We are honored that the Grauls have found yet another way to help us in our mission to provide the best in hospice, palliative and bereavement care to the families of Anne Arundel and Prince George’s Counties.”
