Jing Ying Rings in Chinese New Year
Free and low-cost programs will be available throughout the month.

The year of the dragon starts today for China, and the , located in Arnold, will be celebrating the new year for the next 15 days with a series of programs.
The institute offers instructional courses in kung fu and tai chi for children and adults. And through Feb. 9, they'll also be offering programs ranging from Chinese calligraphy, qigong, and a course on the traditions of the Chinese New Year.
The celebrations will culminate with an open house on January 28, featuring live music, lion dancing, tai chi and kung fu demonstrations.

Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu & Tai Chi, based in Arnold, will celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year with two weeks of free and low-cost workshops.

In 2012, the Lunar New Year begins on Monday, January 23, and the celebration lasts for 15 days. Each year, Jing Ying Institute celebrates the new year by hosting a variety of workshops that are open to the public. This year, they will usher in the “Year of the Dragon,” with classes on Chinese calligraphy, tai chi, qigong, kung fu, traditions of the Chinese New Year, and much more.
Their open house, on January 28, will feature live music, lion dancing, tai chi & kung fu demonstrations, Chinese food, children’s crafts, raffle prizes, and free giveways.
