• State Approves Funding for Four Montgomery County Park Projects (mocoshow.com) — Cambridge is set to get a new park with a basketball court and walking trails thanks to state Community Parks and Playgrounds funding approved last weekend. While most of the $4.6 million package targets Montgomery County and other jurisdictions, this grant will bring fresh recreational space and improved amenities directly to Cambridge residents.

• The Week in Winners: $60,000 prize and 11 wins of $50,000 highlight Maryland Lottery's week (nottinghammd.com) — A lucky player bought a $10,000 "5,000,000 Fortune" scratch-off at the Wawa on Sunburst Highway in Cambridge, one of several big Maryland Lottery wins last week. Statewide, 35 tickets paid out $10,000 or more, including a $60,000 top prize in Parkville and multiple $50,000 Pick 5 and Bonus Match 5 winners from across Maryland.
