3 Baltimore Co. Firefighters Injured In Apartment Fire

Three Baltimore Co. firefighters were treated for non-life-threatening injuries suffered when responding to an apartment fire in Woodlawn.

CATONSVILLE, MD — Three firefighters with the Baltimore County Fire Department suffered non-life-threatening injuries Monday when responding to an apartment fire in Woodlawn.

Additional details on the extent of the injuries were not released.

The department said in a social media post that the fire broke out in the kitchen of a second-floor apartment on the 6300 block of Monika Place.

Officials were called to the scene around 1:30 p.m., with the fire being extinguished just after 2 p.m.

Multiple residents who'd become trapped inside the apartment complex were rescued by first responders. The American Red Cross is assisting displaced residents.

A cause for the fire remains under investigation.
