Amanda Ignacio's first half goal, coming off an assist from Caroline Butler, was enough to propel the Sailors over a Maryvale squad that had not lost a game in conference all season.
Goalie Eve Lukowski (nine saves) and the Mt. de Sales defense turned in yet another stellar performance. The Sailors did not allow a single goal in their playoff run, a stretch of three games that also included victories over Mercy in the quarterfinals and Seton Keough in the semifinals.
