CCCS of MD and DE Receives Grant from Capital One
Nonprofit CCCS was recently awarded a grant by Capital One to help it continue providing financial counseling and education to Marylanders.

Local nonprofit agency Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Maryland and Delaware (CCCS) recently received an operational grant from Capital One to sustain its financial counseling and educational outreach efforts.
CCCS Resource Development Manager Devon Hyde says, “We are committed to providing clients and community members with the knowledge and skills they need to make better informed financial decisions. We appreciate Capital One’s recognition of the positive outcomes we achieve. Their generosity will help us continue to make a difference.”
CCCS offers a variety of services to help consumers become financially aware and economically self-sufficient. It delivers free budget and credit counseling and financial coaching to people throughout the country by phone and at offices throughout the Baltimore area and in Dover, Wilmington, and Claymont, Delaware. It helps clients in serious debt return to financial health through an affordable debt management program.

The agency also partners with other financial literacy advocates and presents educational workshops and seminars on a wide range of personal finance issues throughout the region it serves.
This past year, CCCS supplied more than 10,000 counseling sessions and attended more the 50 community events, reaching more than 48,000 local residents. Clients participating in its debt management program repaid more than $25 million to creditors and gained valuable skills to help them improve their quality of life and regain financial control.
