Free Seminar Explains How Changes in Health-care Law Will Affect Small Business

Love it or hate it, the Affordable Care Act is a reality that businesses will have to face. How will this 906-page sweeping reform of health-care law affect small businesses? Come find out at a free seminar hosted by the Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce and Charlestown Retirement Community on Wednesday, October 30 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Guest Speaker Maansi Raswant, Senior Regulatory and Policy Advisor at the Hilltop Institute at UMBC, has worked closely with the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to support health reform implementation in Maryland.  She will explain how the regulatory changes will affect small businesses in our community. The Hilltop Institute conducts research, analysis, and evaluations at the national, state, and local levels, addressing complex issues through informed, objective, and innovative research and analysis.

The Affordable Care Act Seminar will be held in the CTS Gallery at the Charlestown Retirement Community, 719 Maiden Choice Lane in Catonsville. Light refreshments will be served.
