• New Baltimore County Public School superintendent welcomes students back for first day of school (wmar2news.com) — Catonsville High School was the backdrop as new Baltimore County Public Schools superintendent Dr. Bill Heiser welcomed students back for the first day of classes and emphasized improving academic achievement. Heiser, a former Catonsville High principal, highlighted a festive opening with band and cheerleaders and noted the district has reduced teacher vacancies to just 28 across roughly 9,000 positions.
