Southwest Democrats Explore Topics from Homelessness to Development at Monthly Meetings

Democrats in Southwest Baltimore County Hold Monthly Events, Seek New Members

The Southwest Baltimore Democratic Club will hold its January meeting on Monday, January 26, 2015 from 7:30 to 8:30 PM in Room 108 at the Bloomsbury Center, 106 Bloomsbury Avenue in Catonsville. The subject of the meeting will be, “Homelessness.” The SWBCDC special guest for this meeting will be Betty Okonski of the Southwest Emergency Services agency. Ms. Okonski will discuss homelessness and related problems. Those who attend are urged to bring a donation of non-perishable food for local residents in need.

The February meeting of the SWBC Democratic Club will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 7:30 to 8:30 PM. PM in Room 108 at the Bloomsbury Center, 106 Bloomsbury Avenue in Catonsville. The topic of the February meeting will be “Local Development.” The special guest will be the Honorable Tom Quirk, Baltimore County First District Councilman. Councilman Quirk will discuss proposals and plans for local improvement and related issues. Those who attend are urged to bring a donation of non-perishable food for local residents in need.

The SWBC Democratic Club also is seeking new members. To become a member, please attend a meeting and sign up. Dues are: Individual: $20 per year, Family $30 per year, Senior Citizens $10 per year and Senior Family $15 per year.
