About Thistle Rock Farm & Nursery
When Kirk and Lisa Getka moved to the rolling hills of historic Sharpsburg, MD in 1995, it didn't take them long to find their passion - gardening and growing beautiful annuals and perennials. Two years later they put up their first greenhouses there on their farm in rural Washington County and that is when their nursery began - Thistle Rock Farm & Nursery.

At Thistle Rock Farm & Nursery the Getkas fulfill their passion on a daily basis through growing healthy plants in nature's rich environment. Interleaved in and among greenhouses, are beautiful, healthy gardens abundant with mums, zinnias, sunflowers and more.

The Getkas offer many different types of herbs and a few fruit plants including strawberries, raspberries and fig trees. "Additionally, we grow a limited selection of flowering shrubs," said Lisa.
