Vehicle Shot While Northbound On I-95 Near Catonsville

According to the Maryland State Police, the suspect in the shooting was a passenger in a black Volkswagen Jetta and wore a red shirt.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Maryland State Police and investigators from the criminal enforcement division are searching for a suspect and vehicle involved in a shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon along I-95. According to the Maryland State Police, the suspect in the shooting was a passenger in a black Volkswagen Jetta and wore a red colored shirt. A police report stated that the the suspect fired three shots into a vehicle at approximately 4:30 p.m. while both vehicles were traveling northbound along the stretch of I-95 between MD 166 and the Baltimore Beltway I-695.

Troopers from the Golden Ring Barrack were contacted by the victim of the shooting who was uninjured during the incident. The victim’s grey Hyundai Elantra was damaged by bullets in the driver’s side door, including a shattered driver’s side window, the police report noted.

Maryland State Police are asking that anyone who may have witnessed this incident or can provide additional information regarding the suspect vehicle, driver or passenger call the Golden Ring Barrack at (410) 780-2700.
