Winter Putter Land Raises $3,400 for Charlestown's Benevolent Care Fund
Nineteen Teams Participate in Indoor Miniature Golf Tourney

CATONSVILLE, MD (March 4, 2015) – A February 27 Winter Putter Land indoor miniature golf tournament held at Charlestown raised a total of $3,400 for the retirement community’s Benevolent Care Fund, which guarantees a home for life to residents who, despite hard work and careful planning, have depleted their assets.
A total of 76 people – Charlestown residents, staff and their families, as well as the general public -- played on a full 18-hole course designed built by members of Charlestown’s woodshop. The entire course was outlined with 100 two-by-fours. Volunteers sawed, sanded, hammered, and painted obstacles for the course.
Nineteen teams of 4 players participated. The team consisting of Taha Kayali, Jay Pavanal, David Wecht and Nathan Carpenter won the tournament with a score of 194.
