ā¢ MISSING: Bonnie The Emu Is On The Run in Calvert County (smnewsnet.com) ā Keep an eye out in the Chesapeake Beach and Owings areas: a 6-foot emu named Bonnie is on the loose, and county animal control is trying to bring her home safely. Residents are urged not to approach her, to keep pets away, drive carefully if sheās near the road, and immediately call Calvert County Animal Control with any sightings.

ā¢ Passenger Accused Of Smearing Suspected Cocaine During Calvert Traffic Stop (thebaynet.com) ā Deputies conducting a nighttime patrol along Route 260 in Chesapeake Beach say a July 8 traffic stop led to suspected cocaine and paraphernalia charges for two Prince Georgeās County residents. According to court records, a K-9 alert prompted a vehicle search, and one passenger is accused of trying to smear suspected cocaine into the carpet. Both were later released on unsecured bonds pending August court dates. Ā Ā Ā
