Police say a Treetop Lane apartment was entered and property stolen, and vehicles were taken from Pine Top Lane and Leatherwood Terrace, alongside other incidents in Rockville, Silver Spring, and Germantown. 
• Driver pleads guilty in August crash that killed 85-year-old woman (thebanner.com) — A driver has pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter after an August crash at Randolph Road and Sherwood Forest Drive in Colesville that killed an 85-year-old woman and seriously injured another person. Prosecutors say she was speeding at over 80 mph in a 40-mph zone, and sentencing is set for mid-September.
