College Park Man Celebrates 105th Birthday With A Parade

Robert Cox of College Park enjoyed a drive-by parade of well-wishers on the occasion of his 105th birthday.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — It's not every day that someone turns 105, so Angel Assisted Living in College Park decided it was worth marking the occasion in a big way.

Last Thursday, the team of caregivers for Robert Cox, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, invited guests to drive by his home, honk their horns, cheer and wave. All the while, Cox sat comfortably in his patio to watch the entire procession.

Military veterans and members of the College Park Fire Department were joined by other volunteers to wish Cox a happy birthday. The Capital Caring Health team also presented him with a special patriotic blanket.
