Fourth Graders Share How They Would Improve College Park as Mayor
Students read essays at Tuesday's Mayor and Council meeting.
Fourth graders shared with Mayor Andrew Fellows and City Council members what they would do if they were in charge.
Entrants of College Park's Outstanding Essayists in the Maryland Municipal League "If I Were Mayor, I Would..." statewide contest had the opportunity to read their essays at Tuesday's Mayor and Council meeting.
"Thank goodness for age restrictions," the mayor said after listening to all the ideas the fourth graders expressed. The students said steps should be taken to decrease litter, improve transportation and unite the community. Check out the photo gallery and captions to find out what else they had to say.
