Getaway Driver From DeSha-Overcash Murder Scheduled for Sentencing Today

Stephan E. Weaver, 23, of Bowie, faces sentencing this morning for armed robbery and handgun charges, after pleading guilty for his role as the .

Weaver is scheduled for sentencing at 11 a.m. in Prince George’s County Circuit Court in Upper Marlboro.

Deandre Ricardo Williams, 24, of Hyattsville, who is charged with fatally shooting DeSha-Overcash, . Williams appeared in court last month for a plea hearing, when Chief Wesley Adams of the Homicide Division of the Prince George's County State's Attorney’s office read the statement of facts, agreed upon by both Williams' defense and the state's attorney's office:

  • Williams entered the College Park home of  on Jan. 11, 2011, to rob him of money and marijuana. When DeSha-Overcash threw a glass jar at Williams' head, Williams shot DeSha-Overcash twice in the abdomen.
  • Williams left the scene in a vehicle driven by Weaver, who admitted to conspiring with Williams to commit the robbery.
