Mega Chess Set Comes to Life
ABC7 visits downtown College Park to see the new giant chess set in action.

ABC 7 cameras stopped in College Park to check out the oversized chess set, purchased by the city to encourage more activity in the downtown commercial area.
"It's a college town. More people have free time during the day, so we're just hoping more people outside kind of create more of a buzz," Economic Development Coordinator Michael Stiefvater told the news station.
City residents and visitors can borrow the chess pieces for free from and use them on the chess grid built into the sidewalk at Knox Road and U.S. Route 1, .
