PHOTOS: The Stitch Features Hope for Agoldensummer

The second concert of the new series in College Park draws an even bigger crowd than the first.

Hope For Agoldensummer marked the halfway point of a 30-day tour with a concert in College Park on Thursday evening, when the folksy tunes of the Georgia-based family band swayed through the .

The group performed in the second of a , a new collaboration between the College Park Arts Exchange and Yarner Studios. The first concert, featuring Indie pop duo Ms. Fridrich, brought out about 30 people, three times more than organizers were expecting.

On Thursday, that number grew to about 50, an intimate crowd size perfect for Hope For Agoldensummer, band member Claire Campbell said.

"Sometimes we are playing for a packed house and sometimes we're playing for four people in a pizza parlor," Campbell said.

When Baltimore resident Sailor Holobaugh saw a notice about the concert on the group's Facebook page, she decided to make the trip down to College Park. Holobaugh used to watch the band perform in Asheville, she said.

"It was different this time because there weren't people as familiar with their music. But it was the same music...and stories," Holobaugh said.

There are two more concerts scheduled for The Stitch, both of which will be held at the Old Parish House. .
