13 Charged In HoCo DUI Patrol On St. Patrick's Day: Police

Those arrested for alleged drunk driving ranged from 23 to 64 years old, Howard County police reported.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Authorities said they arrested 13 allegedly impaired drivers during a St. Patrick's Day drunk driving saturation patrol in Howard County.

During the overnight hours from Friday to Saturday, police said the following were charged with driving under the influence (DUI):

  • Elliot A. Agbormbi, 40, of Lanham
  • Benjamin D. Blevins, 30, of Clarksville
  • Debra L. St Charles, 64, of Woodbine
  • Harry L. Deering Jr, 47, of Baltimore
  • Linder M. Fuentes, 27, of Berwyn Heights
  • Therese A. Gayhardt, 55, of Ellicott City
  • Shawn R. Harriott, 23, of Ellicott City
  • Brandon W. Kunk, 33, of Columbia
  • Fredrick A. Peoples, 38, of Baltimore
  • James B. Riley III, 58, of Fox River Grove, Illinois
  • Linda M. Sciotti, 36, of Hanover
  • Daniea G. Stewart, 27, of Laurel
  • Rodney Wright Jr, 30, of Baltimore

The Howard County Police Department used supplemental patrols on St. Patrick's Day for the initiative, which is part of a statewide campaign to curb fatalities on Maryland roads.

State troopers also announced that they planned to be out in force for the St. Patrick's Day weekend festivities.

The legal limit for driving in Maryland is blood alcohol content of .08.

Police remind residents to refrain from drinking alcohol if they will be driving and to call 911 if they see a suspected drunk driver on the road.
