14-Year-Old Groped, Kissed By Intruder At High School: Police

COLUMBIA, MD — A 20-year-old Columbia man has been arrested and charged with second-degree assault, fourth-degree sex offense and disturbing school operations after police say he inappropriately touched a 14-year-old student at Hammond High School.

Colby Christopher Johnson of Early April Way was at the school March 12 shortly after 4:30 p.m. Police received a report that an unknown man had entered the school, approached a female student, grabbed her then tried to kiss her before he took off. The victim wasn't injured.

Police identified Johnson as the suspect using school video footage and determined that he did not have legitimate business at the school. He was taken into custody Friday
