19 Overnight Vehicle Break-Ins Reported By Howard County Police
Police need help identifying a suspect they believe is responsible for 19 vehicle break-ins that occurred in the overnight Jan. 19-20.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — More than a dozen thefts from vehicles have unfolded in the overnight in the Columbia area Jan. 19-20. According to the Howard County Police Department, these incidents likely are related. In some cases, the suspect or suspects broke out car windows when car doors weren't unlocked.
Police have located 19 victims in neighborhoods off of Route 108 (Jericho Road, Ridermark Row, Silver Tree Place, Gaither Hunt Lane, Hesperus Drive, Castle Moor Drive, Columbia Road) and off of Cedar Lane (River Rock Way, Green Mill Way). In the meantime, officers emphasize not leaving anything of value within view in a vehicle and to always lock doors.
