1st Alarm Fire Camp In Howard County Accepting Applications

St. Florian's Brigade two-day fire camp will run July 11-12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Kids across the county are invited to attend the St. Florian's Brigade two-day fire camp July 11-12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Applications are being accepted now through April 1 for the 1st Alarm Fire Camp where kids ages nine to 14 will learn more about fire service and what it takes to become a firefighter, including team building, a burn demonstration, CPR training, obstacle courses, running emergency scenarios and more.

The 1st Alarm Fire Camp will be held at the James N. Robey Public Safety Training Center, 2200 Scott Wheeler Drive in Marriottsville this summer. The program also empowers campers with life skills and professional guidance that encourages them to pursue a career in public safety.
