2 Indecent Exposures In Columbia Related: Police

After runners in Columbia said a man exposed himself to them in a vehicle, the Howard County Police Department is investigating.

COLUMBIA, MD — Two indecent exposure incidents have been reported in the past three weeks in Columbia. The same suspect is believed to be behind them, according to police.

In the latest incident, police said two women were running when they saw a man exposing himself in a vehicle in the area of Quarterstaff Road.

They reported the indecent exposure at 5 p.m. on Monday, April 16.

Despite checking the area, officers said they did not locate the suspect.

"Police believe this is the same suspect as in a March 29 indecent exposure nearby," police said on Wednesday, April 18. "The investigation is ongoing."

In the earlier case, police said two women were running when they reported seeing a man exposing himself at 5:35 p.m. on Thursday, March 29.

That happened around Fair Oaks Drive at Freetown Road, about 0.5 mile from the first case.

Both the March and April incidents involved a suspect described as a white man exposing himself in a black vehicle. There was no further description provided.
