2019 Howard County Fall Events You Can't Miss

The month of October is synonymous with apples, pumpkins and a few fun events for all ages to celebrate fall in Columbia and Ellicott City.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — As summer unofficially ends with Labor Day, fall festivals abound across Howard County. There are craft fairs, live music and more planned in the area. Below are just a few of the fall festivals in the area.

  • Oakland Mills Fall Festival will be held Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free event offers live entertainment in the courtyard, food, a children's area, community and craft vendors, and more. The event takes place at The Other Barn, 5851 Robert Oliver Pl., Columbia.
  • The 2019 Howard County Hops & Harvest Festival also takes place Oct. 5 from noon to 5 p.m. at The Chrysalis in Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods, 10475 Little Patuxent Pkwy., Columbia. There will be more than 80 area artisans, breweries, distilleries and wineries offering unlimited tastings, live entertainment, games and more.
  • The 2019 Harvest at the Hill Festival at Manor Hill Farm takes place on the 54-acre working farm in Ellicott City on Oct. 19 from 1 to 5 p.m. Local bands will perform live, there will be farm tours and educational activities, a food truck rally, yard games and farm-fresh brewed beer.
