3 Columbia Boys Charged in Business Burglary Spree: Police
Bike and phone stores, pizza place, vape shop, deli, middle school were targeted by Columbia teens, Howard County police report.

COLUMBIA, MD – Three boys from Columbia have been charged in a series of business burglaries in the area, according to the Howard County Police Department.
Police said that a 13, 15 and 16-year-old have been charged with attempted burglary, burglary and destruction of property in connection with crimes at four businesses in recent weeks. The 13 and 16-year-old are also charged separately in two other burglaries.
Stolen property and other evidence associated with the crimes was found upon executing search warrants at the homes of the boys, according to police, who reported that the juveniles have been charged and released to the custody of their parents. Due to their ages, their identities will not be disclosed, police said.

Here are the businesses where police allege the teens broke glass but did not take anything:
- NY Deli in the 9300 block of Snowden River Parkway; Monday, March 28.
- Vape N' Cigar in the 7100 block of Minstrel Way; Monday, March 28.
- Royal Pizza in the 9400 block of Snowden River Parkway; Monday, March 28.
- Race Pace Bicycles in the 6900 block of Oakland Mills Road; Wednesday, March 30.
One of the businesses—Race Pace—was also struck twice more by two of the suspects, according to police.

Police said that the 13 and 16-year-old suspects broke the front window at Race Pace on Monday, April 4, and Tuesday, April 5.
During the April 4 break-in, police allege the duo stole a bicycle, and as a result the teens have been charged with burglary, theft and destruction of property.
The two boys face the same charges in a burglary at the Verizon store in the 9300 block of Snowden River Parkway, where four cell phones were stolen after the front window was shattered on Tuesday, April 5, police said.
The 16-year-old is charged with destruction of property related to broken windows at Lake Elkhorn Middle School in the 6600 block of Cradlerock Way on Tuesday, March 29, police reported.
