3 Injured In Townhouse Fire

One person was taken to the hospital with burns and two others were evaluated after a fire broke out at a townhouse early Thursday morning.

The fire broke out at a townhouse located in the 10600 block of High Beam Court in Columbia around 2:30 p.m. Crews arrived to find fire coming from the front of the townhouse and immediately began to battle the blaze.

COLUMBIA, MD — Firefighters were called to a townhouse early Thursday morning for a report of a fire.

The fire broke out at a townhouse located in the 10600 block of High Beam Court in Columbia around 2:30 p.m. Crews arrived to find fire coming from the front of the townhouse and immediately began to battle the blaze

It took firefighters around 20 minutes to bring the fire under control.

All residents had evacuated on their own before the fire department arrived. Two people were evaluated by EMTs and one was taken to the hospital with burn injuries. No firefighters were injured, the fire department reported.

The Red Cross will be be assisting two adults. The office of the fire marshal will be investigating the cause of the fire.
