“365 Days: A Year in Happy Valley” Baltimore Screening Announced

A screening of “365 Days: A Year in Happy Valley,” a feature-length documentary filmed in and around Penn State University in the wake of the Sandusky scandal, has been announced for Jan. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at The Charles Theatre. This is currently the only showing scheduled in the Baltimore area. The film will premiere at a red carpet event on Dec. 27 in State College. Tickets for the Baltimore screening will go on sale November 1 for $12 each and must be purchased in advance through 365daysthefilm.com.

After the media that had invaded State College packed up and left in the summer of 2012, one film crew stayed and continued to chronicle the impact of life in Happy Valley. The resulting documentary explores issues of conformity as part of human nature, the quest for justice, the role of the media in shaping public perception, and the collateral damage of a rush to judgment.

This groundbreaking film features rare interviews with key figures in the drama. Director Erik Proulx and writer/producer Eric Porterfield, who lived and worked in State College for more than a year, reveal a divided group of people striving to redefine their community, find healing, and determine its future.
