5 Businesses In 3 Days Burglarized Across Howard County Including Vape Stores: Police

Five businesses in 3 towns were burglarized in a 3-day window, police say, including vape shops, grocery stores and the Ten Oaks Ballroom.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Several businesses across Howard County have been burglarized, all within a three-day period, police say. In one incident, the cash register was stolen as were safes.

Between May 18 and May 20, five businesses in Jessup, Elkridge and Clarksville were burglarized. No suspects have been arrested yet, according to the Howard County Police Department.

  • May 18 around 4:47 a.m.: Puff Planet, 8100 block of Washington Boulevard, Jessup, unknown suspect(s) entered the business by breaking a glass door and stole the cash register.
  • May 18-19 in the overnight: Frank's Produce, 6600 block of Old Waterloo Road, Elkridge, unknown suspect(s) entered the business through an unlocked garage door and stole cash and other items.
  • May 20 around 5 a.m.: Vape & Cigar, 6500 block of Old Waterloo Road, Elkridge, unknown suspect(s) entered the business by forcing open the door and stole cash and a safe.
  • May 20 around 5 a.m.: Weis Market, 6500 block of Old Waterloo Road, Elkridge, unknown suspect(s) entered the business by forcing open a door. Nothing was reported stolen.
  • May 20 between 8:30 and 10 a.m.: Ten Oaks Ballroom, 5000 block of Signal Bell Lane, Clarksville, unknown suspect(s) entered the business and possibly stole clothing. No signs of forced entry were observed.
