5 Baltimore City Teens Face Robbery, Carjacking Charges: Howard County Police

Five teens from Baltimore City face armed robbery, carjacking charges stemming from a series of events Sunday in Howard County, police say.

COLUMBIA, MD — Five teenagers have been arrested after a series of incidents unfolded Sunday morning in Columbia.

At around 8:18 a.m. April 7, Howard County Police were called to the 10500 block of Green Mountain Circle for a report of an attempted armed carjacking. Officers found the suspect vehicle and attempted to stop it, but the suspects took off. Officers pursued the vehicle into Baltimore City where all five suspects were apprehended, according to the Howard County Police.

Howard County officers also responded to a report about an armed robbery on Waterfowl Terrace and another attempted armed carjacking on Green Mountain Circle that happened before the other armed carjacking and subsequent police chase.

Two boys age 14 and one boy age 15, along with two 15-year-old teenage girls, all of Baltimore City, have been charged with armed robbery, carjacking and related charges. Both teenage girls were previously charged in two armed robberies that happened in Ellicott City in November, according to the Howard County Police Department.

Detectives are working to determine if the teenagers may be responsible for other similar incidents in Howard County and surrounding jurisdictions.
