7 Displaced by Columbia Dryer Fire
Authorities said a fire broke out off Harpers Farm Road Tuesday morning.

COLUMBIA, MD — A dryer fire at a Columbia apartment complex displaced seven residents Tuesday morning, the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported.
At approximately 7:15 a.m., crews responded to the 5300 block of Harpers Farm Road and found fire in an apartment. Officials said the building was evacuated and the blaze placed under control by 7:25 a.m.
Nobody was injured and no roads were closed due to the emergency response, according to authorities.
