AA Market, Pizzeria Santa Lucia Broken Into: HoCo Police Blotter
Someone entered the Columbia Swim Center after hours, but nothing seemed to be missing, according to Howard County police.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The following is a roundup of police activity for the previous week in Howard County.
Robbery
Laurel, 20723: Sleep Inn and Suites, 10100 block of Washington Boulevard, Dec. 3 1:51 p.m.
An adult male suspect reported that he arranged online to sell a vehicle. The victim arrived at the hotel and was led by one suspect to a room, where two other suspects displayed a gun and demanded the victim’s belongings. The victim complied and the three suspects fled. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
Commercial burglary
Jessup, 20794: Bank of America, 8600 block of Washington Boulevard, Dec. 3 9:47 p.m.
Police responded for a report of two suspects tampering with an ATM at the bank. Police discovered a damaged ATM and skimming devices. Both suspects were arrested.
ARRESTED: Laudious Vardale Canty, 56, and Timothy McCulley, 50, of Guilford Road in Jessup,
charged with burglary, destruction of property, and possession of skimming devices

Jessup, 20794: 8600 block of Washington Boulevard, Dec. 1-2 overnight
Unknown suspect(s) entered the AA Market by breaking a front glass window and stole cash. Suspect(s) also entered Pizzeria Santa Lucia by breaking the front glass door. Nothing was reported stolen.
Columbia, 21044: Columbia Swim Center, Dec. 2 2:30 a.m.
Unknown suspect(s) entered the facility through a possibly unlocked rear door. Nothing was reported stolen.

Robbery
Woodstock, 21163: Shell gas station, 10700 block of Birmingham Way, Dec. 1 10:09 p.m.
A store employee reported that a male suspect with his face partially covered entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash. The employee complied and the suspect fled. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.

Assault/weapon violation
Columbia, 21046: 9100 block of Guilford Road, Dec. 1 1:35 a.m.
Police responded to the area for a report of shots fired and located a vehicle on the side of the road. Two victims who were occupants of the vehicle reported that another vehicle struck them and several male suspects exited the vehicle. The suspects assaulted one of the victims and stole various items before fleeing. Police recovered a shell casing near the scene; no one was struck and no serious injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
