AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar Wins Award For Community Contributions

COLUMBIA, MD — AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar does an award-winning job when it comes to community participation, according to the Restaurant Association of Maryland.

AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar received the McCormick Cornerstone of the Industry Award, given to the companies that best illustrate how restaurants are the cornerstone of the economy and their community. These successful businesses support local communities by creating jobs and donating to nonprofits, schools, youth sports and scouts.

The restaurant in Columbia reportedly supports Taste of Howard County for Gilchrist Hospice Care, Souper Bowl of Caring, Chocolate Ball for The Arc and Blossoms of Hope for the Claudia Mayer/Tina Broccolino Cancer Resource Center.

Other businesses that received the McCormick Cornerstone of the Industry Award this year were Blackwall Hitch in Annapolis and Glory Days Grill, which has six locations in Maryland, including in Ellicott City.

The Restaurant Association of Maryland — a trade organization dedicated to promoting and improving the restaurant industry in Maryland — presented the awards at its annual gala. The association is based on Hillside Court in Columbia. The gala was held Sunday at the Baltimore Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore.
