HOWARD COUNTY, MD — An air quality alert is in effect for Howard County Monday. The code orange air quality alert affects Baltimore City and Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil and Harford counties.

The "code orange" air quality alert means air pollution concentrations may be unhealthy for sensitive groups including children; older adults; and people with asthma and respiratory or heart ailments. Temperatures Monday and Tuesday are expected to reach the low 90s but will feel like 98 degrees from 1 to 4 p.m. Rain chances persist for the rest of the week.
