American Cancer Society Relay For Life College Park U. of MD "Zaching" Tribute

The community is welcome to Relay For Life!Relay For Life at Univ of MD, College Park takes on special meaning as Zach Lederer is honored along with hundreds of others who have battled cancer. A video by the Athletics Dept. will be shown at the Luminaria Ceremony around 9 p.m. Zach, former Terps men’s basketball student manager who passed away from brain cancer on March 11, 2014, was an inspiration and friend of the American Cancer Society who spoke at many ACS Relay For Life events.  He became known for “Zaching” – a muscle pose he struck that symbolized his determination. During the Luminaria 

ceremony, Relay participants will circle a track surrounded by glowing Luminaria bearing the names of loved ones lost to cancer and those still fighting cancer.  Luminaria may be purchased and displayed for $10 ea.  The community is welcome!!! See www.Relayforlife.org/umaryland.
