• The Mall in Columbia removes paid preferred parking signs (wmar2news.com) — Parking near Main Event and Restaurant Row at The Mall in Columbia is back to being completely free after management removed signs for a short‑lived paid "preferred parking" program. The change affects about 120 spots that had required QR-code payment for closer access to entrances. Mall officials haven't yet said whether the paid parking plan is permanently scrapped.
• Kehlani reschedules two tour stops after sudden hospitalization (thegrio.com) — Fans in Columbia should note that Kehlani's Merriweather-area tour stop has been pushed from August 27 to September 6 after the singer was briefly hospitalized with a sudden throat-related illness. The Camden, New Jersey show was also moved to September 5. Kehlani says doctors temporarily barred them from performing but the tour is continuing with these new East Coast dates.
