Howard County Historical Society Announces Janet Kusterer as New Editor of Newsletter, The Legacy

The Howard County Historical Society is thrilled to announce that Janet Kusterer has assumed the editorship of the Society’s quarterly print newsletter, The Legacy.Ā 

Ms. Kusterer has a Masters of Liberal Arts Degree from Johns Hopkins University, and is co-author of 4 books about Ellicott City history, as well as editor of 5 Ellicott City Visitor’s Guides for The View.Ā 

Ms. Kusterer has also been a feature writer for The View for its entire existence, and she is currently a columnist for the Howard County Times.Ā  Ms. Kusterer is also the former Executive Director of Historic Ellicott City, Inc.

Shelley Wygant, President of the Board of Directors, says, Ms. Kusterer’s ā€œexperience,Ā enthusiasm and editorial skills will help us create a publication that will enrich, inform and intrigue you in every issue.ā€Ā  Of her new Editorship, Ms. Kusterer wrote, ā€œThis isĀ such an exciting time for the Society and I am happy to help chronicle this history in the making.ā€

Janet Kusterer’s first newsletter will be released in mid April 2011.
