The Arc Elects New Officers, Directors

Attorney William Erskine Elected President of Board

The Arc of Howard County has elected officers and directors for the coming fiscal year. William Erskine, a Principal with Offit Kurman Attorneys at Law, was elected President of the Board of Directors. Columbia resident Pam Guzzone, Operations Manager for the Goddard Employees Welfare Association at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, is the new Vice President. Cathy Cope was elected Secretary. A Columbia resident, Cope is Technical Director in the Division of State Coverage Programs at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Annette Hinkle, Chief Financial Officer of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, was elected Treasurer.

Elected to three-year terms on the Board of Directors were Joseph Geld of PNC Wealth Management, Phil Kiracofe of Gooseworks Consulting, Michael Lewis of Ourisman Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram, Tracey Millings of G.R.O.W. By Networking, and Theresa Ballinger of the Goddard Space Flight Center.

Since its inception in 1961, The Arc has become one of Howard County’s largest employers, with more than 300 staff members and hundreds of volunteers working to achieve full community life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It provides a range of residential, work and day services and family support services.
