Aug. 12 Open House At Guilford Park HS Includes Tours, Fun Run, Ribbon-Cutting
Makes plans to attend the Aug. 12 open house for the new Guilford Park High School. There will be tours, a fun run, ribbon-cutting and more.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Celebrate Howard County’s newest high school, Guilford Park High School, located at 8500 Ridgely's Run Road, Jessup, on Aug. 12. Students, staff and families will be able to tour the school and participate in several activities to kick off the 2023-2024 school year.
The day will begin with a fun run/walk at approximately 8:30 a.m. at the school. No registration is required to participate in the event, which will explore the 77-acre GPHS campus. A symbolic planting of a flower preserved from prior owners of the land on which the school was built will occur at 9:30 a.m.
There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. where several guest speakers will help celebrate the school’s opening.

Following the ribbon cutting, all students, families and visitors will be invited to tour the school, which will conclude at noon.
