Backups on US 29 in Columbia: Police
Police activity caused delays on US 29 for approximately an hour and a half.
COLUMBIA, MD – Traffic was snarled on US 29 before MD 175 due to police activity Friday afternoon in Howard County.
One lane was open on US 29 north after 3 p.m., the Howard County Police Department reported.
Two lanes were closed.

By 4:30 p.m., police said all lanes had reopened on US 29 north prior to MD 175.
