Blood Donors Asked To Help With Shortage In Howard County
"The COVID-19 outbreak has created a blood shortage, and our community has once again stepped up to host safe blood drives."
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Donating blood is considered an essential service and Howard County Executive Calvin Ball is encouraging residents to donate blood to ensure the blood supply remains sufficient.
“The COVID-19 outbreak has created a blood shortage, and our community has once again stepped up to host safe blood drives,” said Ball in a statement. “If you are healthy and able, we encourage you to make an appointment to donate blood, it can help save a life.”
There are multiple upcoming blood drives planned across the country. They are by appointment only:
