Quieter Columbia is a community based organization of Howard County residents who are working to protect and preserve property values, reduce outdoor noise pollution and limit new development throughout Columbia and Howard County Maryland.

Are you concerned about preserving and protecting your home’s property value?  What about amplified outdoor music & noise going all day and late into the night?  The King’s Contrivance Restaurant is seeking county approval for anenlargement of a Non Conforming Use (NCU) to expand their outside operations and events. 

 Please attend the Public Hearing on Monday June 3rd at 5:00pm to testify AGAINST granting any change to existing zoning.  Speak up and let Howard County know that homeowners in our Columbia neighborhood want to preserve current single family residential zoning along with our peace and quiet.  

This meeting is our one and only chance to prevent the county from granting the restaurant permanent permission to exceed the current NCU restrictions for residentially zoned areas and avoid having our property values and quality of life negatively impacted by the restaurant’s plans to host large outdoor parties & noise generating events from May to October.
