BWI: 'Flights Are Expected to Be Impacted' by Snowstorm

Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport prepares for takeoff of winter storm.

While Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is prepared to handle snow, authorities anticipate flights will be affected by the coming winter storm, according to a statement from BWI.

“A number of airlines have announced travel advisories and are waiving change restrictions for flights through BWI,” according to BWI officials. “Airline flights are expected to be impacted by the weather.”

Travelers planning to leave Friday through the weekend should check with their airlines about the status of their flights.
